Emotions wheels have been a visual tool used by psychologists for decades to help people better understand and interpret their own feelings. The goal of this lesson is that looking at this wheel will help students and teachers identify emotions about the climate and learn to work with them.

Teachers need to be aware of what background knowledge their students have about climate change and be ready to provide that background knowledge. This activity could provide a good baseline and post survey to allow students to navigate their emotions before and after engaging in climate action once they have agency.
